Well, here is the image of Ringwood at last.

It's full title is "Market Place, Ringwood" and it looks back eastwards towards the centre of Ringwood town.

It's available to buy now as a limited edition print, both mounted and unmounted, a canvas, and a mug, so do take a look on the shop section of the website!

With the painting of Ringwood safely at the printers awaiting scanning, I thought I would show you what else I have been up to.

Jenny from "Eco Fitness" in Somerset asked me to design a poster for her to attract people to her fitness company. They're a fit lot at "Eco Fitness" and do all their excercising in the great outdoors. Jenny arranges all sorts of events all year round, whatever the weather and I think the next one is an Easter Egg Chase!

Well, as you can see, I'm making some progress with the Ringwood painting.

As I paint, all the photographs laid out in front of me look more and more dull and wintery, and I'm really having to use a bit of imagination to liven the whole scene up.

Anyway, so far, so good...hopefully!

Will let you all know when it's completed and on its way to be scanned.

Well, here's Ringwood at the drawing stage.

I went to Ringwood to take photos on one of those bitter cold days that we had at the beginning of February. Just to make matters worse, it was grey and dull too, so all my photos looked pretty miserable! Anyway, they were fine for what I needed and I have now produced a drawing which I will start painting. The view I eventually decided on was looking east along the Market Place. Hopefully once it's in colour, it will be a lot more recognisable...and look like a bright sunny summer day!!

My next piece of work will be a painting of Ringwood in Hampshire. Although I will be working from photographs taken in the winter, the finished painting will be a nice warm summer view, so lots of imagination needed then! I'll keep you updated with progress reports.
